As I mentioned here, we had a bustling, business-focused June all about learning and stretching and growing. And it was great.
But now we’re balancing that with a few slow, summer-focused months at our little getaway in North Central PA.
Here we splash in the lake, take wandering walks to secret docks, pick blueberries, and do a whole lot of together-ing.
Here we play music on the porch, visit with friends from far away, and read lots of books.
And, every summer, we slowly become ourselves here. First the schedule disappears. Then the make-up washes
away and the hairdryer is stashed in a bottom drawer. Later, we lose big things; like social pressures and self-consciousness. And through that stripping away of all things unnecessary, we become ourselves.
Is it tricky – sometimes crazy – to run a growing business from the woods? Yes. Is it worth it? Heck Yes.
Wishing you a peaceful, soul-filled rest of summer!
