November 1st is All Soul’s Day…and there are many souls out there that I am thankful for. But today, I wanted to let you know about a VERY special group of women that have made my creative and personal life so rich, complicated and crazy-FUN over the past year.
I am lucky to be part of an innovative artist’s cooperative called The Studio at Contempo, above Contempo Artisan Boutique, an eclectic gift shop in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.
We are a group of seven artists who teach classes in sewing, jewelry-making, knitting, photography, preschool art and fine painting and drawing. We also hold lots of private parties, community meetings and events.
When we started out about a year ago, I was just happy for a little space to teach sewing classes. I never dreamed that this crew of talented, authentic women would also be such a source of inspiration, learning and support for me. I also never dreamed we’d have such a good time together!
Thank you Ladies of Contempo…I can’t wait to see where this year takes us!
